"Zientziaren historiografia"ko ale honekin Gaiak argitaldariak zabalera handiko projektu bati ekiten dio. Projektu honen helburua Zientziaren historiografia osoa irakurlearengana heleraztea da. Lau tomotan eta ikuspegi moderno batez eta argazki ederrez horniturik egungo pertsona kultoari eskeini nahi diogu behar duen informazioa. Lehenengo ale honetan lau atal desberdin arakatzen dira. Hasteko, zientziaren jatorri ilunetan murgilduko gara Luis Mari Bandres idazlearen luma zorrotzaren bitartez. Horrela, gizakume aurrehistorikoak sortutako jakintzak, eta Mesopotamia eta Egiptoko zibilizazio ernegarriek jorratutako ibilbidetan barrena murgiltzeko aukera izango dugu.
